After a successful run that spanned almost three decades, operations temporarily ceased in 2018, marking the end of an era.
However, with the dawn of January 2024, Woods Recruiting rises once again, not as a traditional recruiting service, but as a dynamic blog dedicated to shedding light on the journeys of high school student-athletes, college coaches, club coaches, and everyone contributing to the development of young talent.
At the helm of Woods Recruiting is Al Woods, the Editor-in-Chief, a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Al’s own story is rooted in the world of high school basketball, where he honed his skills before pursuing higher education at West Virginia State College.
His journey took an incredible turn as he not only excelled on the basketball court but also earned a degree that would become a cornerstone for his future endeavors.
Following his collegiate years, Al Woods embarked on a four-year professional basketball career, leaving an indelible mark on the courts of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
As his professional playing days concluded, Al transitioned seamlessly into a new chapter, driven by a passion to assist student-athletes in overcoming the challenges of recruitment.
