We Will Work Relentlessly To Help Basketball Student-Athletes Find Their Right College Recruiting Opportunity
At Woods Recruiting, our commitment is simple, when we work with your family, we are on your side.
We understand what is at stake.
For a basketball student-athlete, recruiting is about more than basketball.
It can be about education, opportunity, personal growth, independence, and the chance to continue playing the game they love at the college level.
For parents, the process can be exciting, confusing, stressful, and sometimes overwhelming.
You want your son or daughter to have an opportunity.
You want their talent recognized.
You want to know that someone is working to help get their information in front of college programs.
That is where we come in.
Our commitment is to work, communicate, market, promote, research, and pursue legitimate opportunities.
We want to leave no stone unturned.
We Build The Presentation
The process begins with presenting the student-athlete professionally.
We develop a basketball scouting report that can include the player's photograph, athletic information, biographical information, academic information, strengths, areas for improvement, video, audio description, graphics, and additional recruiting information.
We want college coaches to quickly understand who the player is and what that player potentially brings to a college basketball program.
Our presentation can include:
- Professional basketball scouting report
- Complete player recruiting profile
- Basketball highlight video presentation
- Detailed audio player description
- Professional recruiting graphic designs
- Athletic and academic information
- Strengths and improvement areas
And we don't believe exposure should necessarily stop with one scouting report.
We can continue producing additional reports, evaluations, write-ups, graphics, updates, and recruiting content as the process moves forward.
As the player develops and new information becomes available, we have additional opportunities to tell that player's story.
We want to keep their name moving.
We Target College Programs
Marketing without direction is just noise.
Our objective is to identify college basketball programs that could potentially make sense for the student-athlete based on basketball ability, academics, geographic preferences, available opportunities, and other important factors.
We develop a targeted list of college programs, but the family remains involved in that process.
Parents and student-athletes can review the programs we are targeting. If there are schools they do not want to pursue, we can discuss that.
If additional programs should be considered, we can expand our search.
The goal isn't to become emotionally attached to a tiny list of schools.
The goal is to find opportunities.
That could mean exploring:
- Multiple college basketball levels
- Different geographic recruiting areas
- Additional realistic college programs
- Newly developing recruiting opportunities
- Programs needing your position
The wider the appropriate search, the more opportunities we may uncover.
We Market The Student-Athlete
This is one of the most important parts of our process.
A talented basketball player sitting at home waiting to be discovered does not have a recruiting strategy.
Recruiting requires exposure!!!
We have multiple tools available to communicate with college programs and put student-athlete information in front of coaches.
Our job is to market.
Our job is to communicate.
Our job is to keep searching.
Our job is to keep pushing.
Not every college coach will be interested in every player.
That is the reality of recruiting.
A coach may need a different position, size, skill set, academic profile, or style of player.
One coach saying no doesn't mean everybody will say no.
That's exactly why we keep looking.
We Will Tell You The Truth
There is another part of our commitment that matters tremendously: honesty.
We cannot guarantee an athletic scholarship.
We cannot guarantee a financial package.
We cannot force a college coach to recruit a player.
Nobody can honestly make those promises.
The college coaching staff ultimately evaluates the student-athlete and determines whether that player fits what its program needs.
What we can control is our effort.
We can build the presentation.
We can develop the scouting reports.
We can research programs.
We can identify potential fits.
We can market the player.
We can communicate with college programs.
We can expand the search.
And we can keep working!!!
Recruiting Never Stops
Families need to understand something extremely important about college basketball recruiting.
There is no real offseason.
College coaches are constantly evaluating players, evaluating their rosters, studying recruiting classes, monitoring the transfer landscape, identifying positional needs, and preparing for future seasons.
Recruiting operates:
- Twenty-four hours every day
- Seven days every week
- Twelve months every year
- Opportunities constantly develop everywhere
A program that doesn't need your position today could have a different situation later.
A recruiting opportunity that doesn't exist right now could develop unexpectedly.
That is why persistence matters.
We Are In Your Corner
Parents, we understand that you are trusting us with something important.
Student-athletes, we understand that this is your future.
We take that seriously.
Our commitment is not based on pretending recruiting is easy. It isn't.
Our commitment is based on working through the difficulty.
We are going to search.
We are going to promote.
We are going to communicate.
We are going to evaluate.
We are going to keep looking for realistic opportunities.
There may be rejection along the way.
There may be coaches who don't respond.
There may be programs that decide to go in another direction.
We keep moving.
Because somewhere there could be a college basketball program looking for exactly what that student-athlete brings to the court, classroom, and campus.
Our responsibility is to help find that opportunity.
That is our commitment at Woods Recruiting.
We will bring our experience, resources, recruiting knowledge, marketing tools, relationships, communication, and determination to the process.
We cannot promise what a college coach will decide.
But we can promise that when we take on the responsibility of helping a student-athlete, we are on their side.
We will advocate for them.
We will promote them.
We will search for opportunities.
We will work to get their information into the hands of college basketball programs.
And we will continue pursuing realistic possibilities because our philosophy is simple:
Leave no stone unturned.
The opportunities are out there.
Our commitment is to work to help you find them.
