Recruiting Sucks. No You Suck. They Suck We All Are Not Stupid

Alright, listen up folks. We’re about to dive into a topic that many of you might not want to hear, but it’s time to face the harsh reality of the college recruiting process.

Brace yourselves because we’re about to lay it all out on the table. Spoiler alert: it sucks. And when I say it sucks, I mean it SUCKS.

The mistakes made by parents, student athletes, high school coaches, and club coaches are so colossal, they could sink a battleship.

So, if you’re ready to hear some hard truths, buckle up because we’re about to embark on a brutal reality check.

Let’s start with the basics: YOU SUCK. Yes, you heard me right. You, the parent who thinks their kid is the next LeBron James or Serena Williams, but refuses to see the reality staring them in the face.

Wake up! Your little prodigy might be good, but they’re not that good.

Stop living in la-la land and start facing the facts.

Pushing your child too hard, too soon, and in the wrong direction will only lead to burnout and disappointment.

And you, student athlete, you’re not off the hook either.

Thinking you can coast through high school, skipping practices, and slacking off in the classroom because you have “mad skills” on the field?

Think again. Colleges aren’t just looking for athletic prowess; they want well-rounded individuals who can excel both on and off the field.

So, unless you want to spend your days reminiscing about what could have been, start taking your academics seriously.

Now, let’s talk about high school coaches and club coaches. Guess what? YOU SUCK TOO.

Your job isn’t just to win games or tournaments; it’s to help your players succeed in life.

But instead, you’re too busy playing favorites, neglecting players who don’t fit your cookie-cutter mold of success, and failing to advocate for them when it matters most.

Shame on you for perpetuating a toxic culture that prioritizes winning over the well-being of your athletes.

And don’t even get me started on the recruiting process itself.

It’s a hot mess of confusion, frustration, and missed opportunities.

Talented kids are slipping through the cracks left and right because they don’t know how to navigate the murky waters of college recruiting.

And whose fault is that? We all suck for letting it happen.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the college recruiting process is a dumpster fire of epic proportions, fueled by the ignorance and arrogance of parents, student athletes, coaches, and the system itself.

But here’s the thing: it doesn’t have to be this way.

We’re not all stupid; we’re just making stupid mistakes.

It’s time to wake up, shake off the denial, and start taking responsibility for our actions.

Let’s clean up our act, learn from our failures, and pave the way for a recruiting process that actually works for everyone.

The ball’s in your court. Don’t drop it.
