Rich Rodriguez’s University of Michigan Wardrobe is Yours For the Buying

It was one hell of a ride for Rich Rodriguez during his somewhat tumultuous 3-year tenure as head football coach at the University of Michigan.  The school cut ties with RichRod at the end of last season, and now Rodriguez is planning on cutting the emotional ties he had with the Wolverines, by donating all his UM swag to a local Salvation Army. How very generous of him. The total number of Michigan related items RichRod actually donated is a [...]

University of Alabama defensive back Mark Barron underwent surgery to repair a pectoral muscle tear…

University of Alabama defensive back Mark Barron underwent surgery to repair a pectoral muscle tear sustained in the Crimson Tide’s 28-27 home loss to Auburn last Friday, and will miss the Crimson Tide’s bowl game. Whether the injury impacts the junior safety’s decision of whether to declare eligibility for the NFL Draft remains to be seen, but the length of rehabilitation could affect Barron’s availability for the NFL Combine in February.

Tuscaloosa News: Barron has surgery, out for bowl

Hate to see the news confirmed, but I’m afraid we all saw this one coming a bit with Barron. This one will definitely hurt us badly for the bowl game — pray we don’t get matched up with a Big XII team — but admittedly this news may keep Barron in Tuscaloosa for his senior season. He probably won’t be healthy enough to do very well at the NFL Combine or individual workouts with NFL teams, so this one could have a very big effect on his draft status.
