First of all, the Adidas adizero F50 feel really light! Coming from playing in Adidas Predators almost exclusively, the weight difference is pretty obvious. Where I live it rains frequently so I chose the Synthetic version based on cleaning and maintenance simplicity. I like flashy colors so the Sea of Yellow was my cup of tea; and it does look great.

While wearing these cleats for the first time I blistered. The cleats felt really stiff especially in the toe area and the lack of cushioning was kind of a turn off (as some of you may know Predators are some of the most comfortable cleats out there and have a lot of cushioning and lining). I decided to tape my blisters and wear double socks and it made a huge difference. The cleats took only 3-4 small shooting/jogging sessions to break in. Now they feel perfectly molded to my feet (slight stiffness) and I’m only wearing one sock. One piece of advice: if you like a snug fit try ordering these a half size smaller, it’s not that they run larger/longer, it is because of the thin Sprintskin which gives more space for the foot. In my case, I ordered my normal size (9.5US) and they fit just right and don’t feel large at all.

These cleats excel at touch and shooting. Because of the Sprintskin you can feel the ball perfectly, giving an almost barefooted touch. This material feels a little bouncy compared to leather but not in a bad way. Speaking of the synthetic material, cleaning it is really easy, just use a wet piece of cloth and you are ready to go. Shooting feels great and very clean since there are no pods/rubber or other technology used in the shooting area; it’s just your feet and the ball. The Adizero is not designed as a power boot but my shots are really strong and accurate (can be compared to those using my Predators).

One thing I did not expect was that these super lightweight cleats would feel great while running. You feel like you are running in socks, the soleplate/studs design gives great support and traction and puts no pressure in your feet.

The only negative thing I can find in the F50 is lack of cushioning, as said above. This doesn’t mean that these are uncomfortable boots, in fact, yesterday I spend almost two hours shooting free kicks with some friends and my feet weren’t tired at all.

I will finish by saying that these cleats can be used by anyone in the pitch looking for great touch and some weight relief. One warning: these cleats are addictive, once you break them in you won’t be using your other cleats in a long time.
