Boozer status for Wednesday still uncertain

Carlos Boozer practiced for a second straight day without issue, but wasn’t ready to say he would play Wednesday when the Bulls host the Orlando Magic at the United Center.

“It felt pretty good today,” Boozer said. “Still a little sore. I may or may not play [Wednesday], but I’m hoping this week or this weekend.”

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, though, sounded as if he expected Boozer to be in the lineup barring any 11th-hour setbacks.

“He’s not having any problems,” Thibodeau said. “As long as he’s comfortable, we’re ready to get started.

“He looked good. He said he didn’t have any problems from [Monday]. I think his conditioning’s really good and he did a really god job in practice.”

Taj Gibson, who’s been starting in Boozer’s absence, also practiced Tuesday after sitting Monday to rest his lingering right foot/ankle issues. Gibson should play against the Magic.
