The top characteristic that many people believe Jerry Jones is looking for in the next head coach is someone who he can make his puppet. We all know that Jerry likes to be in control and that is one reason it seems Jason Garrett is the perfect fit as the next Cowboys coach. Jones personality and lack of willingness to give up control scares off some of the bigger name coaching candidates, so a guy like Garrett is just what the owner ordered. Garrett, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to think that the owner is as controlling as the [...]

Jerry Jones: ‘I’m Mad As Hell’
The Cowboys rallied to take the lead over the Arizona Cardinals with under two minutes to go on Christmas day and then in typical fashion crumbled. From David Buehler’s missed extra point to the awful pass defense, the Cowboys found a way to blow their late lead like they’ve repetitively done this season.
Following yet another heartbreaking loss, Jerry Jones spoke. One of the questions he was asked was if Jason Garrett has done enough to earn the full-time head coaching gig for next season.
“That’s not something that I’m even thinking about right now,” Jones said after the game. “I’m mad [...]

Daytona Gems Hockey Team to Honor Jerry “The King” Lawler For Some Reason
The CHL’s Dayton Gems have announced that their February 25 game against the Evansville IceMen will also be Jerry “The King” Lawler night because, well, why the hell not. About time someone honored the man who bitch slapped comedian Andy Kaufman, only because I never got his warped brand of humor.
The Gems players will don these hideous Lawler inspired jerseys, and the man himself (pimp-hand included) will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures for $ 5. Piledrivers will cost ya extra though.
Two minutes for looking so good, Daytona Gems…
The Gems will wear specially made Jerry Lawler themed jerseys for the game and the jerseys will be auctioned off after the game is over. Winning bidders will receive the jerseys that night. The jerseys will be autographed by both the player of the jersey and Lawler and the winning bidder will have their picture taken with both the player and Lawler as well. Jerry Lawler will also be wearing his own hockey jersey throughout the night and this too will be available during the jersey auction. He will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans for $ 5.00 aperson from 6:30-7:15 p.m. as well as at certain times throughout the game.
Pretty sweet, but then there’s the $ 75 Jerry Lawler VIP package, which is seven kinds of awesome…
A Jerry Lawler VIP Package will also be for sale, but only limited quantities of these packages are available to purchase prior to the game on February 25th. The price of the package is$ 75.00 and includes two tickets to the game, two official game pucks signed by Jerry Lawler himself, an autographed Jerry Lawler Autobiography, free parking and a private meet and greet with Jerry Lawler prior to the Gems game against the IceMen that night.
Me, I’m going all out and getting the Jerry Lawler VIP package just so I can get “The King’s” take on Jim Carrey’s portrayal of Kaufman in Man on the Moon. Then I’m going to smash him over the head with his autobiography and try to pin him—seeing that he’s a seasoned pro, and I coughed up the required $ 75, I’m sure he won’t mind.
