Quintin Matthews: 6’2” 175lbs.  DB, 4.6 40 YD Dash

McClintock High School Tempe, AZ Class of 2017

SAT-840   ACT-Spring/2017

The 2017 product is a hard-working and coachable leader on the field. A long and exceptional athlete who not only uses his athletic ability, but also uses his football instincts and IQ in the defensive backfield for his Chargers.

Quintin has proven to be a player ready to play at the college level. He has 13 interceptions in his two years as a varsity starter with two returned for TDs. He has also made over 80 tackles in that time span.

Quintin will compete at a high level in man or zone coverage and is also strong enough to shed blocks and make devastating tackles in run support. He shows good ball skills on deep throws downfield and breaks well on the ball on shorter throws.

With his 6’2 frame, Quintin uses his body well in taking away quick slants, has the jumping ability to out-jump receivers in the red zone and also tackles well in the open field. His true instincts really show up when he gets his hands on the ball. Always willing to learn, Quintin will be an asset to your program not only as a player, but as a student and citizen. He is well-liked by teachers and coaches and possesses a calm, respectful demeanor.
