The Small Monthly Payment Recruiting Services Are A Joke!
We Need More College Scouts
There are recruiting services that will allow you to make small, incremental monthly payments. In my opinion, it’s a joke, it’s a disgrace, and it’s stupid.
We’re not talking about being on a payment plan, that’s totally different. What I’m talking about is a company allowing you to pay $25 or $35 a month, it just doesn’t work and I don’t agree with it.
First of all, parents are not going to pay that kind of money for 12 to 18 months or longer, it’s just not going to happen. It becomes a bill mixed in with all their other bills and they don’t look at the recruiting service as a bill that they have to pay every month to keep the lights on and the phone paid.
I believe these recruiting services that charge this type of fee structure are weak. They believe if their fees are this low that they would be able to sign up hundreds of parents over a period of weeks and that’s not going to happen.
You have not created any value, you have created a disaster. What happens if the parent skips a few monthly payments? You’ll actually become a collection agency hounding the parents day after day, chasing them for chump change.
How do you expect to grow your business if you’re charging small incremental monthly payments? It’s impossible to grow your business without any money. That’s the bottom line and the truth!
Those services are afraid to have that conversation with parents about recruiting, believing a smaller fee would create greater value and it doesn’t.
Even if you signed up 10 parents per month under your small incremental payment plan, you will still only get $250, maybe $500 a month on the high end and you won’t get that every month because there will be a half dozen parents or more that will figure out a way to not pay you.
