Kaiden Chong: 6’0”, 175 lbs. DB
Tempe High School Tempe, AZ. Class of 2017. 4.7 40yd Dash
Kaiden is a versatile and coachable defensive back in the class of 2017. The senior is a two-sport athlete who also runs and jumps in track and field, but excels at his passion on the gridiron. Kaiden will rarely leave the field during defense and special teams for his Tempe High Buffalos.
Kaiden is a long athlete who competes every play by combining his physical play and athletic instincts. With his speed, he is able to turn and run with receivers with no problem. He is able to use his size and strength to his advantage by redirecting receivers on their routes and uses his jumping ability to high point the ball in redzone situations. The 2017 defensive back uses his high football IQ as well as good ball skills when the ball is in the air. He also has cat-quick reflexes and superior hand-eye coordination to catch deflections. With his speed, he is a threat to take any ball he gets his hands on in for six. He is also a top special teams performer/tackler for the team.
Kaiden gets his strong work ethic from a strong family support system. Kaiden is the youngest of five siblings and is well liked by his peers, teachers and coaches. He participated in student council during the 2015-2016 school year. He does volunteer work for the Boys and Girls Club of Guadalupe and also at a local food bank known as the Chandler Care Center.
