Julia “JJ” Simón, a rising star from Presentation High School in San Jose, California, is making waves in the softball world with her exceptional talent and versatility. Standing tall at 5’9″ and weighing 140 lbs, JJ is a force to be reckoned with on the field.

JJ’s teammates affectionately call her “JJ,” a testament to her impact and camaraderie within the softball community. 

She is a standout player for the Universal Tatro 16U travel softball team, showcasing her skills as a well-rounded athlete and a leader both on and off the field.

Primarily playing as a catcher, first baseman, and third baseman, JJ is a true utility player with a strong arm that clocks in at an impressive 64 mph. 

Her offensive prowess is equally impressive, boasting a batting average of .447, an on-base percentage of .500, and a slugging percentage of .872. 

Her four home runs in the 2023 season placed her among the top hitters in the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL), earning her a well-deserved spot on the 1st Team All-League.

Beyond her hitting abilities, JJ is a savvy baserunner, stealing a total of 25 bases across the 2021-2022 and Fall 2022 seasons. 

Her speed is undeniable, evidenced by her impressive H-to-1B time of 2.9 seconds and a 5-10-5 Shuttle PR of 4.6 seconds.

In addition to her remarkable statistics, JJ brings an infectious positivity and work ethic to every game, inspiring her teammates to elevate their performance.
