Getting a letter and a phone call from a college coach is a good thing. When getting recruited you want to have many college coaches sending you letters and calling you. Just a handful of college programs are not enough.

College programs have been known to change their minds and totally forget about a particular student athlete, deciding instead to choose another student athlete.

Exposure is the name of the game in recruiting. It’s very important to have as many college programs interested in you as possible because then the student athlete would have control.

  3. Handwritten notes
  4. Unofficial visits
  5. Official visits
  6. Are they attending your games?
  7. Are you being approached by college coaches at club events?
  8. How do you know?
