You Actually Need A Brain To Be A College Recruiter

There are a lot of people out there who believe they can be a college recruiter, someone who helps high school student athletes get recruited and placed in college.  To be a college recruiter you need to have a brain.  You need to have a high level of intelligence to effectively communicate with student athletes, parents and college coaches.

I stumbled upon this recruiting service called “Coaches Calling” and after browsing their website my first impression was basically where is the information?  If I was parent looking to sign my son or daughter up with this recruiting service I would want to see a list of the previous players this company has worked with.

The information on this website is very generic. When you click on some of the links there is no information on most of their pages so this would be a huge turn-off to me.

A website like this with very little updated information could be an indication that they’re out of business or that they’re probably getting very little business.  Either way it shows this as a perfect example of how you have to have a brain to be a college recruiter.  “Coaches Calling” should be kicked in their ass for putting up such a horrible website and even attempting to become a college recruiter.

The business of being a college recruiter should be taken seriously as a professional occupation. Anything less is unacceptable.

Who wants to be a college recruiter?

Every year toward the end of the high school sports season and the college season there are many individuals who all believe they can help student athletes get recruited and placed in college.

The excitement surrounding the end of the sports seasons often brings a certain level of interests in becoming a college recruiter.

Maybe it’s because being a college recruiter will keep many people who enjoy sports connected to the game some type of way.

On the outside looking in, it looks very easy to be a college recruiter.  Basically you watch a lot of high school games, you talk to a bunch of players, you tell them you can help them get into college and you ask them to pay you a fee.

If you think being a college recruiter is as simple as that then you’re an idiot and you should go back to watching TV all day.

Being a full time college recruiter is a profession just like being a high school or college coach; it’s a serious job with a huge amount of responsibilities and attention to detail.  There are a lot of men who all want to take that next step in becoming a college recruiter because of the thrill of it all.

It is very exciting to sit and watch games all day and talk to players all the time. Ideally, who wouldn’t want that job?

College recruiting is an exciting job with many benefits outside of the fee you’re going to receive from the parents of the student athletes.

When I was a full time college recruiter I would often get tickets to games, invites to camps or free athletic gear.

The only problem with being a college recruiter is there is no information available on the step by step process on how to do the job.  There are actually college courses in sports management to be a sports agent but there’s nothing available on how to be a college recruiter.

So if you’re sitting there watching sports on ESPN and thinking about being a college recruiter, I would really think about doing something else.

There are a lot of terrible college recruiting services out there

You should judge a book by its cover when it comes to college recruiting services.  There are a lot of college recruiting services out there that do a horrible job in representing themselves.  A lot of these services have lousy websites with very generic information.  If you’re trying to persuade a parent to write you a check, having an unprofessional website would definitely hurt your business.

Then there are other recruiting services that tell student athletes that they can “guarantee” that they’ll get them into a division one school.  Anyone who makes such a guarantee to a student athlete and their parents to get their business should be kicked in the ass.

The reason many of these recruiting services make ridiculous statements is because of money.  You should never make promises to student athletes and parents about what you can do for them. You should focus on the facts and what you can do for them based on those facts.

In the world of college recruiting services, money is the root of all evil because so many student athletes and parents are in need of their help and expertise.

I found a so-called college recruiting service the other day and I would have to say this is a classic example of a horrible website which would represent in my opinion a horrible recruiting service. Check them out:  stats-r-us.com.

This recruiting service should be kicked in the ass for even thinking that they have the right to be a college recruiting service.  Trust me, there are thousands of other college recruiting services that have websites that are just as messed up as this one.

College recruiters all need to represent themselves as professional business people at all times or just get out the game.

High School Football Recruit Gunner Kiel

What is the story behind high school football recruit Gunner Kiel? Question: does this young man have the skills and the ability to compete at the college level and if so, is Gunner Kiel a major college football player? Is he a mid-major football player or is he a low major football player?

The college recruiting process is extremely competitive for all high school student athletes so, do you believe that Gunner Kiel is receiving a fair amount of attention from college coaches?

There are many outstanding high school football players in Gunner Kiel’ home state. Where would you rank this young man? Is he one of the best football players in the area or is there room for improvement?

College coaches and recruiters should look for many different things when evaluating high school football players. Is this young man coach-able?

Does he always play hard?

Is he a major contributor to the team?

Is he a team player?

Is he a selfish player or does he involve his other teammates in the game?

What are your thoughts about the high school football team that Gunner Kiel plays on? Are they a success or do they fall short? What is your opinion about the head football coach? Is he doing a good job in promoting his players or does he fall short?

Vertimax Which Type of Athlete Are You?

What is Vertimax?

This is my review of Vertimax. My first impressions are this is a great looking and very interactive website everything jumps out at you great color look and feel to there website.

They sell training equipment for athletes. All you have to do is pick a sport. There are three videos showing you how the equipment works and gives each visitor to the website an opportunity to view all of the videos again and again.

Just for basketball, there’s a list of NBA teams that use Vertimax: Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, etc. There are many Division one college basketball programs that use the Vertimax training system and I’m sure the list of football team is just as impressive.

If you want to see how it works you can request your very own DVD and it’s free, really cool. I just think so many athletes out there are looking for an edge to make it to the next level need a program that is going to give them the physical conditioning and strength program for them to reach there goals.

When you have a website it is vital to grab someone attention right from the start or they will click away every time but not with Vertimax there website has all the attention get pieces. Many websites out there fail in keep there uses interested even when you viewing there websites I think because of there great way they show there training  products keep users always coming back.

Overall this is a great looking training system and I would buy this product right now and also if you’re just looking to get in shape or recovering for injury there a physical therapy Section as well. Over all I don’t think you can miss with Vertimax.

Sista Hoops Basketball Website for Woman’s Ball Players

What is Sista Hoops?

I’m always looking for stuff on the Internet and I found this website called “Sista Hoops”. Now basketball is more popular than anything that I can remember and the ladies are really into basketball more than ever these days.

This website is great; the look and feel of the site is outstanding, the color is great, the art work looks original, new and very fresh. They have great prices on all of the t-shirts with free shipping!

I have a lot of young ladies at my website who play basketball and this looks like a great place to send them to get all the latest and original apparel.  Sista Hoops also offers many other sports gear; from hats to water bottles.

Their contact information is easy to find with phone number and email address easily accessible.

In addition to there great basketball apparel Sista also sponsor girls basketball tournaments in the Dallas Texas area.

Over all this is a great looking website witch is very important when doing business on the internet trust is a major factor for me when looking to spend money with a website on line. I feel that high level of trust with Sista Hops so I would recommend this website to any girls or women’s basketball team anytime.

Check them out! It’s a great website without all the junk that some websites have.

Darrun Hilliard High School Basketball Recruit

Today we’re talking about high school basketball recruit, Darrun Hilliard. Does this young man have the ability to play at the next level or should college coaches not waste their time recruiting him?

Exposure is the key to getting recruited for college. If coaches know about you they will recruit you.  Is Darrun Hilliard receiving the right amount of exposure from college coaches for the kind of basketball player he is?

Is the high school coach taking care of his responsibilities and providing all the assistance, knowledge and expertise to help Darrun Hilliard gain the attention of college programs?  The role of high school coaches is to develop the student athlete to become the best athlete that they can possibly be.  Is this coach doing the job?

Sometimes playing on a good high school basketball team can make the difference in gaining exposure for high school student athletes.  Obviously if you’re on a high school team that has a track record of winning and that team has consistent success then naturally it will gain the attention of college recruiters.  Does the team that Darrun Hilliard is on meet those expectations?  If not, where does this high school basketball program fall short?

In my opinion, only 2% of high school student athletes from a particular state will receive a full athletic scholarship.  Is it possible that Darrun Hilliard will receive a full athletic scholarship or will he fall short and end up playing basketball at the division two level or maybe even the division three level?

AAU basketball is a big deal and playing on the right club team can mean all the difference in a high school student athlete gaining the attention of college coaches.  If you’re on a club team that is reaping the benefits of being a high profile team, will that help the players with gaining exposure to college programs?  Do you believe that Darrun Hilliard is on the right AAU basketball program or should he play somewhere else?
