I have heard of this kid. I think he is one of the areas well kept secrets. As I understand it he attends a small school. I'd call this kid a Diamond in the Rough!!!
All I have heard is that there are several inquiring but the kid is also interested in attending an upper level JUCO for a year or two first. I just heard there are three good programs in MO, one in TN and one in FL talking to him. Two of which are nationally ranked.
I would avoid junior colleges to me he does nothing but slow down and athletes’ athletic career in college. If he can play at a division one or two program that’s the direction I would look at. Seems like this young man has talent but in my opinion junior college would be a mistake.
Ryan Kleffer (PG/SG, 6’3″, 2011) is a player who is most known for his 54 point outburst a couple of weeks ago, and he’s already garnered a lot of interest from D2 schools and Jucos. He’s currently looking at major Juco programs and he’s a guy that D1 schools should be considering as well, with his quick first step and ability to finish in traffic. You can see a lot more of Ryan at http://www.RyanKleffer.com. Ryan has become a scoring machine in his high school career, quickly nearing 1300 points since his sophomore season and routinely putting up 30 plus point performances.
This young man sounds like and outstanding basketball player who can put up big scoring numbers. Keep in mine there are a large number of high school basketball players throughout the country who can also put up huge scorer numbers as well. His overall size athletic ability and skill is a huge factor in being recruited by a division one college programs. Also remember there’s nothing wrong with playing division two ball.
