Women’s Soccer Player Throws Ball Off Opponent’s Face, Gets Red Card (Video)

This is great. Taoba Kemmy of FFC Turbine Potsdam in the Frauen-Bundesliga (translation: a soccer player from the German women’s league), finds her path to a long throw-in blocked by a player on the opposing team. So she decides to throw it off her opponent’s face.

Kemmy was given an immediate red card and sent off the pitch, but really: come on. Who guards a soccer throw-in like it’s the NBA? It’s not like you can block the throw or anything, so you’re main reason for being so close is to be annoying. So guess what you get? BAM. Ball to the face.
