Joe Paquette, Jr., long-distance walker and Detroit Lions fan, made an appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” this morning. In addition to discussing his reasons for walking such a long way, he extolled the virtues of something called “Sisu.” He also repeatedly forgot Dre Bly’s name.
In case you’re just joining us, Paquette walked 425 miles from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to Lion’s camp in Allen Park in an effort to inspire the team to win more than 2 games this year. His main motivational tool was something called “Sisu,” a Finnish term that means “determination” and “strength of will.”
Here’s our favorite part of Paquette’s awesome interview from this morning, in which he refers to one “Drew Bly.” I hope he didn’t get beat up, too.
